In Scotland summer days are long and in mid-June it doesn’t get fully dark until around 11pm, maybe later in the far north.  Winter days are short. To give you an idea of what to expect here are the average sunrise and sunset times for central Scotland (Glasgow).  Remember this will vary slightly depending on how far north you are: in the Highlands you can expect less daylight hours in the winter and more daylight hours in the summer.
