Kintyre is a peninsula in western Scotland, in the southwest of Argyll and Bute. The region stretches approximately 30 miles (48 km), from the Mull of Kintyre (subject of the song of the same name by Paul McCartney) in the south, to East Loch Tarbert in the north.

We took the ferry this morning from Gallanach by Oban for the 5 minute crossing to the island of Kerrera. Measuring roughly 4 miles long by 1 mile wide, there’s some lovely walks. We went south to Gylen Castle via the excellent Garden Tearoom for sandwiches and cake 😋🍰 Gylen See More
