2012 is the Year of Creative Scotland!
A year long celebration of our culture, music, and arts with truly world class events taking place throughout the country. Poetry, jazz, bagpiping, traditional music, comedy, literature, architecture, design, film, crafts, textiles…you name it, there is a wealth of festivals and events taking place this year – a great reason to make 2012 the year you visit Scotland! Highlights include the Aberdeen Jazz Festival which takes place in March, Piping Live! which takes place in Glasgow in August, the Speed of Light (August) which will see amazing light displays over Arthur’s Seat, the hill which dominates the Edinburgh skyline, and the Wigtown Book Festival (Sep/Oct).
